The Stacy Jones Foundation was created in memory of Mrs. Stacy Jones, a lupus survivor who was diagnosed in 2001 and sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer in March 2018. Mrs. Jones was born and raised in Newark, NJ, and she attended Seton Hall University, where she majored in nursing.
She had over 20 years in federal service, with her last place of employment at the Fayetteville, VA Medical Center. In her role as a program specialist, Mrs. Jones’ hard work and dedication touched her coworkers, colleagues, and the many veterans whom she served.
Although her life was cut short, it was filled with love and a reaching spirit, as she was an active member of the Women’s Auxiliary of New Mission Baptist Church where she often volunteered, and it was always in her nature to help and provide for others when she could. Therefore, in order to continue on in her helping and loving spirit, the Stacy Jones Foundation was created to help enhance the community of Fayetteville and to commit to enhancing the research of both lupus and pancreatic cancer!
